After a thorough clean I could see green flowers pattern discoloured from previous life, and journey in the beck.\r\nAlthough worn and crackled, the front glaze was slightly visible. I gently sanded the piece to create a chunky pendant. However, the condition of the ceramic caused it to crumble in places.\r\nThankfully I managed to gently sand the piece until it fitted into a small pendant tray which contains and protects the ceramic, making it stable. \r\nThe idea is to create something new from old and use recycled materials to produce individual, distinctive, unique gifts. \r\nThe finished piece isn't meant to be perfect but instead retain part of the original character, including marks and scratches, all part of the history of the materials used.
