Back stitches define his wing webbing, and chain stitches highlight his claws and horns. Finally, his flames are created by rows of chain stitch in glowing red, orange and yellow. \n\nI use a little bit of bamboo wadding to give a subtle quilted look. \n\nThe finished textile art is then mounted in a wooden hoop, and completed at the back with a circle of wool felt carefully hand stiched all the way round in blanket stitch - so it is as neat as the front.  \n\nA simple white ribbon loop allows the textile art to be easily hung on a wall, or you can prop your picture on a shelf.
