When I started my donkey prints I originally wanted just to celebrate them, as I felt that they are a rather undervalued creature (in art and life) but things have developed from that idea!\r\n\r\nI decided to try and create a secret world that only donkeys know about, full of intriguing and slightly confusing features for them to explore (with the occasional helping hand). This print features three donkeys exploring their curious world at night.\r\n\r\nYellow and black System 3 inks on light grey Fabriano China 220gsm paper. From an edition of 40, signed, titled and numbered.\r\n\r\nThe print image measures H15.5xW5.5cm.\r\n\r\nThe paper measures H25xW15cm.\r\n\r\nPrinted by myself at my home studio, Sheffield, UK. Each one is slightly different, as is the nature with screen-prints. I created the image initially as a linocut print, and then transferred the image to a silk-screen to hand-print the edition.\r\n\r\nI also created a version of this print in lilac and black on grey paper.
