It is also food safe.\r\n\r\nApproximate size: 17.5cm diameter x 3 cm height\r\n\r\nThe butterfly has been a symbol of transformation, hope and faith for thousands of years,  The butterfly is also a symbol of rebirth, since it goes through so many life cycles -- from larva to caterpillar to chrysalis and finally to a beautiful, flying butterfly.\r\n\r\nThis handcrafted ceramic dish has been created using the slab-work method and a butterfly applied with slip.  Once dried it has been bisque fired to 1000C. It has been lightly sanded and hand-painted with three coats of coloured glaze.
