Initially texture is applied to the surface of the clay using a series of decorative Christmas themed wooden blocks. Each piece is then air dried for several days before being kiln fired to form bisqueware. \r\n\r\nNext to the fun bit, applying colour! I hand paint each brooch using a combination of vibrant underglaze colours. Before dipping in a glossy transparent glaze and firing for the final time. A brooch pin is then attached to each piece and ta-da it’s ready to wear! \r\n\r\nPlease note each brooch is completely unique due to the making process.
