I have hand sawed 16 mm wide semi-circular shapes from titanium sheet and given them a hammer textured finish to create subtle shaping before colouring, sanding back and recolouring to create an interesting mottled effect.  I have attached these to the hoops with sterling silver jump rings. \r\n\r\nThe earrings measure approximately 2.1 mm long and I have attached them to sterling silver earring loops which I have also hand made. \r\n\r\nTitanium is a hard wearing lightweight metal suitable for every day wear, however care should be taken not to scratch the surface as the colours are contained in an oxidised surface layer.  Titanium doesn't tarnish however if you wish to clean it you can do so in warm soapy water, without using any abrasives and dry with a soft cloth.
