It has been added to the Perfectly Imperfect Sale as it is an older design.\r\n\r\nMade from white earthenware clay, these textured brooches are handmade from start to finish. Initially texture is applied to the surface of the clay using a decorative wooden block with a starfish design. The brooches are cut from the textured clay slab with a triangular shaped cutter. Each piece is then air dried for several days before being kiln fired to form bisqueware. \r\n\r\nNext to the fun bit, applying colour! I hand paint each brooch using a combination of warm peachy coral underglazes colours before dipping in a glossy transparent glaze and firing for the final time. A brooch pin is then attached to the reverse and ta-da it's ready to wear! \r\n\r\nPlease note each brooch is completely unique due to the making process. Therefore the exact brooch received is subject to availability. As each piece is handmade items the sizes and designs are not necessarily uniform. \r\n\r\nThe triangular shaped brooch is approximately 3.5cm wide.
