The dish is in cream coloured glass (which may appear more white in certain of the images) and the delicate leaf, which has a slight texture to the central rib and veins, is in autumn shades of amber and rust. The leaf has been created from a real garden leaf, from which a plaster mould was made. The mould was then filled with glass powders and fused, and the resulting ultra-thin wafer of glass was applied to a pre-fused glass base and fired again.
