I normally cut my surfite so it goes through the many different layers of resin but in this case the marbled blue and white layer reminded me of churning waves so I cut it within one layer, there are a few dimples in the layer but I didn't want to sand them out as I don't know how thick the layer is and doing that might have removed it. These dangly earrings measure 50mm (from top of the hook) by 15mm but surfite is lightweight so they are not heavy in the ears and the safety hooks mean they won't get lost in chunky scarves. Comes gift boxed.\r\nSurfite is a build up of cured resin that forms during surfboard manufacture making these earrings a great gift for a surfer. I cut this particular material myself and you can see the original block and a work in progress shot in the photos (the rough isn't included), the rough material came from Toy Factory Surfboards in Newquay, Cornwall.
