It is the name given to paint build up that forms in spray booths at car plants, with each car a new layer of paint is added getting cured hard after each one. I cut and polish this material myself and bought this particular fordite from a guy who worked in Ford's Wayne Assembly circa 2016 which I think means it is either Cmax or Focus paint.
