I've used different tones of green in my fused glass suncatcher inspired by the woodlands that grow in our beautiful countryside. This looks lovely hanging in a window. Each hanging is completely unique and would make a lovely gift to give a bit of colour and cheer to a friend or loved one.\r\n\r\nTo make it, I used art glass and cut 2 pieces of transparent glass the same shape and size. I then hand cut foliage shapes from very thin copper foil with a scalpel and added it to the art glass. I then added black glass trunks and green glass tree canopies and placed it all in the kiln to fuse slowly overnight. Once completely cooled, I then added coloured glass dots which I have made previously to give some added interest to the design. A second firing at a slightly lower temperature is done overnight the next day to tack fuse the dots onto the design, so that they stand proud of the glass, giving it a 3D effect. Finally, I drilled holes and added the hanging wire.\r\n\r\nComes ready to hang on a silver wire.\r\n\r\nSize: 13cm x 8.5cm. \r\n\r\nItem comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string.
