The back is a blue and white striped canvas-type fabric.\r\n\r\nThis pincushion is 'postage friendly'. It is less plump than some of my others and can be posted at 'large letter' rate - a significant postage saving. Inside the base of this pincushion is a panel of plastic cut from a recycled milk bottle - as a precaution in case of protruding pin points. Please take care not to 'stab' the pin cushion too forcefully or the plastic layer may be pierced. The centre of the pincushion has a button stitched through the base, to restrict its depth.
