This is a freestanding piece which looks stunning on a window sill with the light coming through it. A perfect gift for someone who loves the ocean.\r\n\r\nTo make this piece I started with selecting which glass I wanted to use and then drawing my design on paper, carefully working out the patterns and shapes that are possible when you cut glass. I used a deep turquoise glass, a streaky turquoise and white glass and a white opaque glass. I then hand cut and shaped each piece of glass as it has to be cut so it carefully fits with the shape next to it, like a jigsaw. The pieces are placed onto another transparent piece of glass and slowly fused in my kiln overnight. It then has a second slow firing to slump the glass over a ceramic mould, to give the wave shape. \r\n\r\nPerfect on a window sill, or in front of a candle.\r\n\r\n22cm by 15cm.\r\n\r\nItem comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string. A gift message can be included, just contact me to let me know.\r\n\r\nGlass is very hard to photograph, so your item may look slightly different to how it does on screen.
