{"url":"https://folksy.com/items/7762072-summer-garden-ceramic-and-sterling-silver-drop-earrings-in-purple","title":"Summer Garden ceramic and sterling silver drop earrings in purple","price":19.5,"currency_code":"GBP","provider_name":"Folksy","description":"These pretty earrings have flowers stamped into the wet clay, and purple flowers with a wash of pale mauve over the background. \r\n\r\nAs with all my jewellery they are made and decorated entirely by hand.\r\n\r\nAfter forming the drops from fine white clay, I imprinted the design. When dry, I sanded the sides and rounded off the edges to ensure they are super smooth to the touch. They then had their first firing. Next I painted them using under-glazes and applied a transparent glaze before firing again to earthenware. The ceramic is glazed on the front, back and sides so is very smooth whilst retaining the texture of the imprinted design. The result is a pleasantly tactile item. \r\n\r\nThe ear wires are sterling silver.\r\n\r\nThis is a one-off listing, the earrings in the photographs are the actual pair you will receive.\r\n\r\nEach drop is about 14mm across (about half an inch) at the widest part, and the total length including the rings is 20mm, about three quarters of an inch.\r\n\r\nAll my jewellery comes in a hand-stamped box.\r\n\r\nMatching items are available – if there’s nothing currently listed just ask! \r\n\r\nI can also make to order, so if you would like something similar, but a different colour or shape please get in touch.
