It is strung from a 22-inch sterling silver chain. \r\n\r\nIt has stripes of reds, blues and greens of various shades.\r\n\r\nWe make the cabochon using thin strips of hand-cut glass laid on edge in the shape we want. These are fused together in the kiln at around 800C. Once cooled we glue on the silver-coloured metal bail and thread the chain.
