{"url":"https://folksy.com/items/7712207-handmade-ceramic-and-sterling-silver-seascape-drop-earrings","title":"Handmade ceramic and sterling silver Seascape drop earrings","price":19.5,"currency_code":"GBP","provider_name":"Folksy","description":"These dainty earrings have a design of waves pressed into the wet clay, which have been painted in sea green and blue, with a wash of soft blue and pink across the sky.\r\n\r\nAs with all my jewellery they are made and decorated entirely by hand.\r\n\r\nAfter forming the drops from fine white clay, I imprint the designs. When dry, I sand the sides and back, round off the corners to ensure they are super smooth to the touch. They then have their first firing. Next I paint them using under-glazes and apply a transparent glaze before firing again to earthenware. The ceramic is glazed all over so is very smooth whilst retaining the texture of the imprinted design. The result is a pleasantly tactile item.\r\n\r\nThe ear wires are sterling silver.\r\n\r\nThis is a one-off listing, the earrings in the photographs are the actual pair you will receive.\r\n\r\nEach drop is 9mm wide (about third inch) wide and about 19mm (just under 1\") long, the total length including the rings is 26mm/1\".\r\n\r\nAll my jewellery comes in a hand-stamped box.\r\n\r\nMatching items are available – if there’s nothing currently listed just ask! \r\n\r\nI can also make to order, so if you would like something similar, but a different colour or shape please get in touch.
