The elongated diamond shaped dendritic opal is pale grey at the top and white with little black tree like dendrites at the bottom, it has been rose cut (ie it has facets on the top surface) to give it a bit of sparkle. The dendritic opal is suspended beneath a black spinel (also rose cut) which hides the bail the chain passes through. The pendant measures 45 mm top to bottom and 14mm across, the opal measures 36mm by 14mm whilst the spinel is 6mm diameter round. Opal is the birthstone for October and this would be an unusual type of opal to celebrate with.\r\nComes with an 18 in sterling silver snake chain in a gift box.
