These fused glass squares make wonderful small gifts and look lovely either hung in a window or on your Christmas tree. \r\n\r\nTo make these glass owls, I start with cutting 2 squares of transparent art glass. I then use a scapel and cut my delicate owl design out of very thin copper foil, I then use a blunt point to emboss details such as the feathers into the copper. I then make a little wire ring to hang the square. The ring and copper owl are sandwiched between the glass squares and fired overnight in my kiln. The heat of the kiln turns the copper a lovely deep red colour. I then add 2 dichroic eyes which I've made previously. The square is fired a second time at a lower temperature so the dots are tack fused to the glass. When completely cooled and washed, I add the hanging wire.\r\n\r\nTransparent glass with handcut copper foil owl captured inside. Each owl is handcut, therefore no 2 are exactly the same. One Supplied. \r\n\r\nComes ready to hang on a silver wire. \r\n\r\nItem comes securely packaged and wrapped in my signature turquoise tissue paper, sticker and string.
