I've used fairly thick wire for the main slide - weaving three lengths together with an intricate pattern, \u0026 then forming a figure-of-eight finished with spirals in the middle. The pin has been made from a hammered twisted length of thick wire, with loops at the top to stop it going all the way through the slide. It will securely hold a shawl or long hair, with the twists on the pin helping it to click into place when the slide is full. \r\n\r\nI've oxidised the finished piece to antique the copper \u0026 highlight the detail in the weave. The slide measures 5.5cm long, 2.5cm wide \u0026 about 1.5cm deep. It can be reshaped if required - gently ease the edges out to make a longer, shallower slide, or push the edges in to make it shorter but deeper.
