He was attracted by the beautiful Sea Holly (Eryngium maritimum) that was a little different to the usual reeds and bulrushes.\r\n\r\nThis dragonfly is also a little more exotic, made up from vivid turquoise crystals and teardrop pearlised beads with a wire 'scribble' bead head. The wings are hand-cut acetate printed with a vein pattern.\r\n\r\nThe sea holly flower is a coil of glass and acrylic beads in a mix of blues and lilacs surrounded by its collar of spiky leaves cut from recycled card with sparkly purple veins plus some green mesh fronds. It is finished with two natural shells. Everything is set against a bright blue/green printed background paper.\r\n\r\nThe grey box frame is 27cm (10.5 ins) square and 33mm deep. It has a hanging hook on the back.
