The first plate was used as the background plate showing the various shades of the undergrowth. The second plate was used as the reduction part of the image, where the plate is printed and then the image is cut away and printed again until the artwork is complete.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nLimited Edition of 25, (plus 5 Artists Proofs), once these are all sold that's the edition finished.
