The switching on and off is controlled by the light-dependent resistor and transistor.\r\n\r\nPlease have a look at a working version of the \"Darkness Detector\" circuit on the Irby Electronics YouTube channel. \r\n\r\nWhen this circuit was tested, the light-dependent resistor was covered with black tape to simulate darkness. The Duracell Plus Power 9 volt battery was still producing a good light output after 120 hours of continuous use. \r\n \r\nThe circuit is made on track board (approx. 6 cm x 2 cm) and requires 1 x PP3 battery (not supplied).
