All handcut by me, decorated and then fused in my kiln.\r\n\r\nMy glass fusing kiln is only small so these fused glass pieces are all one-off designs, no mass production possible. \r\n\r\nA 16cm wide dish, twice fired to very high temperatures in my kiln, first to fuse all the glass together as a flat heart, 2nd to slump it in a shallow heart shaped mould to form a shallow 2cm deep heart shaped dish. \r\n\r\nThe shaping highlights the colours and shine of the dichroic glass more than when the glass is flat.\r\n.\r\nThe dish has a base of clear Bullseye glass. This is topped with a slightly smaller layer of red streaked clear collage glass. I've then filled the border wtih a pretty mix of red frit which I make myself in my special frit maker. \r\n\r\nI've decorated the inner heart with streaks of dichroic glass in shades of red and gold to make the dish extra special and luxurious..\r\n\r\nA very pretty dish and very tactile. It reflects beautifully on a white surface.
