Machi Profile
I love making jewellery, especially modern and wearable pieces. Every piece is designed and handmade by me. I've been making jewellery since I can remember and have been metalsmithing for over 5 years now. I am currently Jeweler in Residence at South Hill Park Arts Centre.
I have a crafty blog, if you're interested, it's www.machi54.blogspot.com -- my blog also has information about any shows or fairs I am participating in! If you would like to join my newsletter, please email me and I will add you. If you tweet, follow me on Twitter @machidewaard
Feel free to contact me if you are interested in customizing an item. If you see a ring but wish the crystals were in a different color, for example, just contact me and I will let you know if that is possible!
I am happy to ship to the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, European Union, Singapore and Japan. Please contact me if you would like something shipped to any other country!
IMPORT DUTY:
Import duty may sometimes be applied by customs to purchases made from outside the EU. If you'd like to know more, please let me know and I'll look into it!
Please choose your jewellery carefully, as I cannot give refunds for earrings for health and safety reasons and I do not offer refunds because of a change of heart.
If there is a problem with the jewellery, I am more than happy to repair it or give a full refund less packaging costs if you notify me within 7 days. It is very important that you supply me with the correct ring size when you order a ring! Any jewellery shop can measure your finger for you.
If you are at all unhappy with any item, please do contact me.
Before you order a ring, you will need
to know your ring size. You can do this
by visiting a jewellery store and asking
to have your finger measured. I need to
know what country's sizing you are using.
The best size is usually the ring that
fits snugly and gives a little resistance
when you take it off.
All precious metal items sold in this shop
that are big enough to be hallmarked are sent
to the Assay office London to be stamped
with the UK hallmark and my sponsor's mark. The hallmark guarantees the
precious metal content of an article.
One characteristic of silver (and gold
to a lesser degree) and its alloys
is the tendency to develop a layer
of black tarnish on the surface.
Tarnish is easily removed by polish
(cloth, cream, or dip) which can be
bought in many department or jewellery
stores. The dip is excellent for cleaning small stud earrings!
