I’m a potter and painter based in the UK. Most of my ceramics are hand-thrown on a wheel using stoneware clays and fired in either gas or electric kilns. I enjoy making functional pottery such as jugs, bowls, jars and other homeware items which I decorate using simple glazes. My aim is to make everyday objects that are simple and pleasing to use.

In addition to my functional pots I also make small decorative ceramics like buttons and pendants. Some of my decorative pieces are made using a traditional Japanese firing technique called raku. This method creates a distinctive crackle glaze with beautiful results. My raku firings are currently limited to once a year - which means these pieces make very special gifts or treasures to keep.
