Background

Hello!

I’m a costume designer & maker based in London. I trained in textile design (specialising in embroidery) and have a background in film & TV.

Given my background, I was delighted that my son had a natural passion for dressing up from an early age. He dressed in whatever he could find lying around the place (a marigold glove, a piece of string or cardboard cut to his requirements, a vintage fur hat, a fringed leather waistcoat). I watched how freely he played when his games sprung from his own imagination. He invented characters and stories to go with each (somewhat eclectically styled) outfit. He became the creator of his own world. He became the inspiration behind iwishiwasa…

I started to make pieces ‘on demand’ for him, then for his friends and over time, this evolved into iwishiwasa…

My mission is to produce pieces which are vibrant, fun, beautiful and well crafted with an emphasis on colour and design. I value imagination and my costumes are designed to encourage creative play. Each piece is made lovingly by hand in my studio in South London and the detailing and finishing I do myself.

Custom orders and bespoke
All of my pieces can be customized with your childs initials or made his/her favourite colours. There is not usually an extra charge for this. Please get in touch to let me know your requirements.

I love to make bespoke pieces and many one-off pieces have been comissioned by small
superheroes. Final costs and timescale will be agreed in advance. Please get in touch and I will do my very best to make you something you'll love.

Shipping
I aim to ship within 3 working days, unless your order is bespoke when I will confirm a shipping date with you.

Your items will be lovingly wrapped and packaged in a groovy manner. My shipping charges include a small sum to cover packaging.

UK postage: I post within the UK Royal Mail 1st class. Orders over £50 will be sent recorded delivery. I can send any order recorded delivery (signed for) on request at an additional charge of 75p or Special delivery (guaranteed next day) at an additional charge of £5.45. If you would like this service, please let me know when you place your order and I will send you an updated postage cost and invoice.

International postage: Your order will be posted by first class Royal Mail international airmail. This service does NOT include a tracking number. If you would like your items to be tracked, I can send them either via Royal Mail Airsure (guaranteed delivery within 2-6 working days) at an additional cost of £5.98 or International signed for (guaranteed delivery within 3-7 working days) at an additional cost of £4.95 Please let me know when you place your order and I can set up a revised postage cost and invoice.

Please let me know if you need your items for a special date so that I can make sure you receive them in plenty of time.
