I have been creating all my life from an early age, my Granny's Mina & Gizzy were great influences on young self, they taught me to cook, sew, crochet and make rugs, to make something out of not much! They both lived through World War 2,so it was all about make do & mend, so i have carried that through into my life, the one thing i really dislike is waste, so i re-cycle bits of fabric from work, old clothes from friends, scour charity shops for bits and bobs, interesting old jewellry, vintage fabric etc.
I am a Milliner & Costume Designer in my day job & i have been for 20 yrs, when i come home there is nothing i love more than going into my sewing room & creating my own designs, my favourite makes at the moment are toys, which i will be bringing to Folksy in the New Year. I have also designed a new line in Tribal/Fusion Belly Dance wear (my other love, bellydancing), my true love is making hats & headpieces.
