I have always loved art and creating things... as a child I used to sell my fimo models to friends at school.. so from an early age I obviously wanted my own business! I studied textiles at Manchester Metropolitan University but after completing my course I was left feeling burnt out creatively and I no longer enjoyed my work. A few years down the line I ended up having a career which had nothing to do with designing. However gradually art and craft started to interest me again, websites such as Folksy captured my attention and imagination. I started hankering after all the vintage bits and pieces that used to inspire me such as a fancy font in an old book.
Folksy is the perfect place for me to slowly unleash all the pent up artiness that I have had trapped up in me for the past few years. Now after my boring full time job I get to go home in the evenings and create for Darlingdillydilly ..sweet bliss!
