The Undercover Owl is Sarah, an Australian ex-pat living in South London, with her 3 small children, husband, 2 cats and an out of control stash of fabric and fibre.
Sarah learned to knit and sew at her mother’s knee and has been doing so in an increasingly obsessive fashion ever since. In recent years, she’s added the twisting of wires to her repertoire and is amassing beads at an alarming rate.

I make a wide range of items designed with fibre folk in mind. If you don't see precisely what you're looking for, please get in touch. Custom orders are one of my favourite things and I can usually manage to accomodate most requests. I always make the item first and list it when it's finished.

Shop Policies

All the fabric items I stock are made to my own design, cut out, interfaced and sewn by me at my home in South London. I make them using good quality cotton fabrics, durable interfacing and the highest quality thread to make products that are hardwearing and beautiful. I am a knitter myself so I design and make things with the needs of knitters/crocheters in mind.

All my stitch markers are hand assembled by me, from beads sourced from other makers. I twist all the wires and fiddle all the rings that they hang off and carefully source all the beads to try to find the ones I think will be the most fun and the best made. Some, like the polymer clay food beads, are handmade. Other beads that I use are not.

Shipping Policy

All items will be sent within 3 days of purchase. I carefully package all the items I send and I only post First Class. If you specially request it, I can send things Recorded or Guaranteed but I do have to charge extra for this, as Royal Mail charges more for these services.

Exchanges and Returns

In the unlikely (I hope) event that you are unhappy with your purchase, please get in touch straight away. An exchange or refund can be organised, provided the item is returned within 14 days of purchase in saleable condition.
