Hi, I'm Jo,

I love anything creative and relish a challenge. I have spent the last few years experimenting with different fabrics, yarns, media and sewing techniques to produce my own brand of handbags and accessories under the brand name The Girl. Working full-time I have not been fortunate enough to embark on one of those wonderful City & Guilds Courses or similar and I can say with honesty that I am self-taught, soaking up information from books, magazines, the internet - and then “having a go”. Each perfected skill seems to create so many more ideas in my head and the wonderful thing is that I know this journey is never ending.

I would like to share my learning curve with like-minded people and therefore I hope you like what you see and visit me often.
