The Snail Emporium houses the latest collection of colourful Snails from Quernus Crafts!

I'm Kirsten Miller, and I've been making wee animals out of polymer clay since I left a 15 year career as a lawyer in 2009. I've been a Featured Seller on Folksy (yay!) and as well as making all creatures great and small, I do a lot of commissions of people's pets - the perfect gift idea! All Snails are made entirely by hand - I don't use moulds or preformed shapes, which means that every Snail has his or her unique personality. And because of this, they are all named individually! I use a wide range of millefiori techniques to create amazing patterns and colours - you could say I 'paint' with clay!

Snails now have their own Facebook page - here, you can tell me about your ideas, join in discussions about all things snail-related, and also post your Snail photographs! I want to hear all about the Snails once they've settled in to their new homes!

SHOP POLICIES

PAYMENT
Payment is due within 48 hours of placing an order. If payment is not received within this time, or if I don't hear from you, the transaction will be cancelled and the item relisted for sale.

Payment by Paypal is usually best, and you don't need an account to use it. For orders from UK buyers, I also accept payment by bank transfer - please contact me for further details.

RESERVED LISTINGS
I'm happy to create a reserved listing for a specific item, or a commissioned piece. I will notify you by Folksy message or email of the link as soon as it is listed. However, if the item has not been bought and paid for within 7 days of the listing date, I will remove the reserved status on the listing and open it for general sale (unless otherwise agreed).

SHIPPING
I aim to ship all orders out within 48 hours of payment (unless otherwise stated in the listing). I post all UK orders out by first class post. The international shipping cost quoted is for an Airmail service only, and it can take 1-3 weeks for products to arrive. Please bear this in mind when ordering for special occasions.

I am happy to send orders using a tracked and insured service for an extra charge. Please contact me for more information.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
All wee creatures come securely packaged in bubble wrap, tissue paper and a sturdy box. In the unlikely event of a breakage in transit prior to delivery, please return the damaged item, together with the original packaging, and I will either refund you the purchase price, or provide a replacement if possible. For one-off commissions, only a refund will be offered.

If there are any issues at all with your wee creature, please get in touch and I will do my best to resolve matters.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Because I make all wee creatures entirely by hand, no two are ever exactly the same, although I do my best to ensure consistency.
