ABOUT ME
My name is Anna Stassen. I am a jewellery designer/maker living in Surrey, England with my Dutch husband and two gorgeous Siamese cats. I also like to dabble in some ceramics. My handmade one-of-a-kind and limited edition artisan jewellery featuring gemstone and unique, original handmade ceramic focals is a celebration of colour, nature and feminine gorgeousness.

WHY SAKURA?
"Sakura" is the Japanese word for "cherry blossom". It is a name I chose because my hope for my designs is for them to be delicate, luminous, ephemeral and beautiful like Sakura and I also wanted to honour my half-Japanese heritage. This is also why Sakura feature quite prominently in some of my designs.

INSPIRATION & MATERIALS
I am inspired by colour and nature and my designs incorporate a melting-pot of materials from beautiful semi-precious gemstones to pearls, my own ceramic creations and much much more. My preferred metals are sterling silver (92.5% pure silver) and Karen Hill Tribe silver (99.9% pure silver) which I source from a very reputable company with a strong fair trade policy as this is important to me.

QUALITY
All my jewellery is made from high quality materials and comes from a smoke-free home. I do, however, have 2 beautiful Siamese cats (as I mentioned above) so please bear this in mind if you are very allergic.

JEWELLERY CARE
Hill Tribe Silver is 97-99% pure silver and Sterling Silver is comprised of 92.5% pure silver and the remaining content is normally Copper to make the metal harder. Due to this Copper content, both Hill Tribe Silver and Sterling Silver will tarnish over time, so here are some tips on keeping your silver jewellery tarnish free:

*POLISHING* - polish your silver jewellery regularly using a non-abrasive cloth. Silver polishing cloths which have been pre-saturated with silver polish can be purchased online. You can also use soap and water and dry off with a soft cloth but avoid harsh commercial silver cleaners or "dips", you won't need to use these if you polish your jewellery regularly!

*GEMSTONE JEWELLERY* - If you have gemstone or pearl jewellery do not immerse it in water and do not use dips or abrasive cleaners on gemstones, just use a polishing cloth on the silver itself.

*STORING* - When you take your jewellery off store it in a dry, cool place. I personally recommend keeping jewellery in plastic zip-lock bags as this helps prevent the silver from tarnishing!

*GENERAL ADVICE* - Take your jewellery off and keep it in a safe place if you plan on going swimming or are using household cleaning products as the chlorine contained in pool water and cleaning products will cause your silver to discolour.

***Ceramic Dishes*** - Postage is by Royal Mail First Class Recorded Signed For service which includes insurance upto £36 (approximately $72). If you would like additional insurance cover please contact me for a quote.

REFUNDS & EXCHANGES
***Jewellery*** - Please choose your jewellery carefully as I do not give refunds for a change of mind. I am not able to give refunds for earrings for reasons of hygiene. I will, however, give a full refund less postage costs for jewellery that is faulty or not as described. Or alternatively offer a replacement item of jewellery upto the same value or repair the original item if that is acceptable.

***Ceramic dishes*** - Please choose your ceramic dish carefully as I do not give refunds for a change of mind. I will, however, give a full refund less postage costs for ceramic dishes that are faulty or not as described.
