Profile
Orme and Hall create unique jewellery in a floating workshop. Our background in antiques, and years spent travelling around the UK in a narrowboat, all influence our designs.
Our inspiration comes from the views we see through our portholes as well as the materials with which we work. The reuse of materials is important to us. Georgian silver behaves in a different way to that made in the Edwardian era. Days of planning can be undone by an alloy with a mind of its own.
We focus on creating individual pieces for individual people. This is achieved by doing everything by hand. It takes longer, but we have more of a relationship with each piece. All this results in work that has been described as organic, earthy, rustic or stone-age.
We hope you enjoy wearing our 'wearable art' as much as we do making it.
