Hi my name is Jayne and I am a mother of 2 with a full time job in local government and I enjoy making fun stuff out of polymer clay in my spare time (what spare time!).

I have been making polymer clay beads and jewellery for about 2 years and find inspiration for my designs in nature and also from the ethnic patterns of Africa, where I spent a large part of my life.

First of all I design the pattern for the beads and then make them up using the cane process. After baking, each bead is hand- sanded a number of times using different sandpaper grades and then polished to a lovely sheen.

Each bead takes approximately one hour to make and no two are ever exactly the same. My beads were featured recently in edition 5 of Make Jewellery magazine.
