Meet the maker Alison Mackenzie

I joined Folksy after taking voluntary redundancy from work in 2009. I had been making cards as a hobby before that and decided to turn my hobby into a business. It allows me to spend more time with my three loony labradors and two rabbits, who are the inspiration for my shop name. I also currently have a small flock of ex-batt hens, adopted via the British Hen Welfare Trust.
