All of my life I have been creative and could always be found drawing, cutting, sticking and glittering from a very early age. I remember with great fondness my Mama teaching me to Crochet a blanket, which I still have. It was a natural progression to go to Art College where I worked hard and qualified as a Graphic Designer. This meant sitting in front of an Apple Mac screen for my full-time job. After ten years I decided to pick up my creative tools once again and make lovely things in my spare time. After doing the card-making thing I moved onto soaps and bath bombs. Since planning my wedding I learnt how to make jewellery, tiaras, and hairpins. More recently I have added handmade textiles to my great loves. My hand knitted felted bags allow me to capture my creativity once again, working with texture and colour to create stunning effects, and the most unique handbags you will find.
I live in 'Robin Hood' country, Sherwood Forest, in North Nottinghamshire with my Husband and my dog Chester. My other passions are drawing and painting, 'growing my own' in my allotment, keeping chickens and walking in the fabulous countryside.
My work is influenced by nature and my surroundings. Having lived in Nottinghamshire my whole life I have been brought up with the forest as my home. It is great comfort to me and influence. The changing season are so dramatic; I try to capture this in my use of colour, especially in my knitted bags. I like natural aromas for my pamper products and like to use essential oils, which I can often be found reading up on. I do also like the fun fragrances too. My jewellery designs reflect nature and all of its wonders. Shapes of petals and leaves, all play a part somehow.
