I am a designer and maker of Akino Jewellery Design. I was born and brought up in Tokyo and now living in London. I trained at Tama Art University in Tokyo, where I originally studied Fine Art. After graduating, I pursued my career as fine artist and had some well received exhibitions with my installation. Having moved to London in 2002, I started jewellery and has been working in this field since.

My inspiration is from art, design, architecture, theatre as well as nature. From row sketch to final piece, I develop my idea in every stage with different technique.
In 2005, one of my work based on Sydney Opera House won a prize in the competition “Inspired By” at V&A.

My Jewellery is all handmade in the UK, and hallmarked in London Assay Office where applicable.
