Beetle collage, signed print

This collage uses printed material from old magazines and junk mail. The colours and patterns mix together to make a vibrant new image out of the old. Recycling at it's most colourful.
The beetles are each made out of a single image and named accordingly, roasted red onion beetle, puddle beetle, big red van beetle, I had fun.
The collage is printed onto 160gm paper and is signed. The image measures 19cm square.

Sea Changes Linocut

This linocut is the second to be inspired by a dream I had. I kept accidentally feeding the goldfish bird seed, until one day it flew out of the bowl and straight out of the window.

The linocut is hand printed in blue green ink onto a grey blue recycled paper. It has a gold pattern on the reverse which adds a subtle sparkle and texture, and is signed by the artist.

The print measures 18 x 23 cm. The print is sold unframed, a 10 x 12 frame is an ideal size for this print, and will need a mount to be cut to size.

Alphabet blue linocut print

I love working with type, having begun my working life as a graphic designer, and with this alphabet design I just had fun. On this version I have first painted the paper in acrylics to create a bright background with movement and life before hand printing the linocut in dark blue/green ink.

The image measures 30cm square, printed on 250gm cartridge and each print is signed. The print is sold unframed, but fits perfectly into a 40cm square frame, with an appropriately cut mount, and I found such a frame in Wilkinson's for around £10, which comes with perspex rather than glass, which may be a good bet if the print is bought for a child's room.

3 butterfly linocuts

These linocut prints accurately show the markings on three different British butterflies, a painted lady, a small tortoiseshell and a large blue, though here I have used some artistic license and played with some colours on some beautiful handmade paper, which is made from lokta and hemp.
Each of my butterflies is hand printed and unique, and signed.
The linocut prints are sold unframed, and fit perfectly into mounts cut ready for 4x6 photographs. They are pictured here in a solid oak frame which came with a ready cut mount, which is available from The Range for an amazing £3.50. If you live close to Bristol and are able to collect, please feel free to contact me and I will be happy to sort out framing for you.

Bristol Print

Original print showing the colourful houses of Bristol. One of our favourite views, as it's what we see while having a relaxed drink on a summers evening, sitting outside The Cottage pub on Bristol Harbourside. Hand drawn on a graphics tablet and printed to A4 size on high quality archival matte paper. Signed by the artist.
The print is sold unframed, but is also pictured framed in a solid oak frame which is available from The Range, at an amazing £3.50. You will just need a mount cut to the right size to fit. If you live close to Bristol and are able to collect, please feel free to contact me and I will be able to sort out framing for you.

The Painted Lady Fairy

I designed these lino cuts as a gift for my niece, seventeen and still believes in fairies. I took inspiration from the illustrations of Arthur Rackham, Cicely Mary Barker’s wonderful Flower Fairies, and my own fascination with butterflies, to create three very different little personalities. The Painted Lady butterfly, suggested to me a voluptuous siren of a butterfly, brimming with self confidence, the Swallowtail butterfly fairy is relaxed in the knowledge of her obvious beauty, while the Small Tortoiseshell fairy, (my personal favourite) is the shy one, unassuming and yet possibly the most beautiful of all.

The lino cuts are hand printed on to some beautiful recycled paper, it is hand made from bark and block printed in gold, giving a vintage textile feel to the print.
Each fairy is sold separately.

The Painted Lady fairy measures 14x15cm.

blue dragonfly collage print

I was inspired to create this series of junk mail collages, by the childrens board books my kids had as toddlers.
They always wanted to see more in the pictures than just a colour, and of course, no colour is ever just one colour.

Because of the materials used in the collage, an original would fade in direct sunlight, so this is a photographic print , using heavy weight matt paper.
Each print is signed.

The image size is 16cm x 16cm with a white surround.

The lino cut is hand printed in mauve/grey ink, measures 21cm x 15 cm, and is signed.

Three Little Birds Lino Cut

This two colour lino print is hand printed onto heavy weight hand made paper. You will see a lot of birds and trees in my work, it's what I see from my window each day, and I find them a constant inspiration. Words have crept in here too. They keep doing that.

Because they are hand printed, each print I make is slightly different, and signed.
The image measures approx 15cm square, on 24cm square paper.

The Small Tortoiseshell Fairy

I designed a series lino cuts as a gift for my niece, seventeen and still believes in fairies.

The lino cuts are hand printed on to hand made lokta and hemp paper, it is sold mounted, and the mount measures 21cm x 17cm.

The Small Tortoiseshell Fairy measures 13cm x 9cm and is signed.

Blossom Tree Lino Cut Print

Back to trees and birds again, inspired, of course, by the time of year. Spring is full of hope, the sunshine makes us smile and if only there were no exams in June, all would be well. So in our house we need to add peace and calm in the build up to GCSE's, hence the dove.

This lino cut is hand printed in two layers, on handmade paper, which is dyed a soft blue grey.
The image measures 15cm square, printed on paper 23cm square. It is signed.
I am selling it unframed to avoid sending glass through the post, but the print is also pictured framed, in an oak frame which is available from The Range for less than £4, (a real bargain.)

The linocut is hand printed in black ink onto handmade paper, made from lokta, and is signed by the artist.

The print measures 18 x 23 cm.
