Halloween OOAK Cloth Art Doll - Baby Vampire

This baby vampire doll is adapted from my original Sitting Stanley pattern based on a very simple version of a teddy bear. He has a cute face despite the fangs! The legs and arms are moveable, fixed with plastic safety joints. The head is firmly stitched on, going round several times with strong upholstery thread. The lightly needle sculpted face is painted with non-toxic heat set paints and the hair is a knitted wig. This baby vampire has a pair of felt "bat wings".
The doll is made from a hardwearing polyaloba fabric with a lovely, soft feel. It's a kind of synthetic suede fabric and it's almost indestructible. The doll is stuffed with polyfil that meets British Standards for cleanliness and flamability.
Sitting, this doll measures around seven and a half inches, around eleven inches from head to toe.
Although sold as a collectable, this doll is quite robust and can be handled and played with, but a small, determined person may pull off the felt wings. This doll cannot be put in the washing machine because of the felt wings. As always, keep away from fire and flame.

OOAK Cloth Vampire Doll

This OOAK cloth art doll is made to my own individual pattern. Her name is Glampire.

Glampire, as her name and appearance would suggest, is very concerned with her looks. She has a regular weekly late night appointment at the tanning salon for a respray - for of course, she cannot use the sunbeds and she doesn't like to have a pale and greenish hue. She has her teeth whitened at the 'Tooth Fairy' every six months. She relies on her looks to lure her victims, so she is always groomed and glamourous, with scarlet lips and fingernails.

Her body is made from polyester suedette. Her hair is a knitted wig, needle felted on, and her face is hand painted. Her dress is made of velvet and the 'bat wing' peplum is scraps of organza needlefelted on to felt, machine quilted and embellished with sequins and beads to match her dress. She has a beaded necklace and bracelets. Glampire is just over twenty inches tall. She can stand unaided in her hand-made stiffened felted shoes on a stable, level surface. She is not wired, so she is not poseable.

This doll is for decorative purposes only and should be kept well away from small children.

OOAK Halloween Witch Doll

Just in time for halloween. A OOAK cloth art doll. She is in tune with the seasons and the rhythms of the earth. She carries a crystal ball and around her neck she wears a golden symbol of the sun.

Her body is made from scraps of fleece fabric, chiffon and silk needle felted onto a base of recycled fibres with the addition of dyed wool sliver (roving), machine quilted and heavily embellished with hand embroidery and beads. Her face is a hand painted and lightly needle sculpted coloured pencil portrait. Her arms are appliqued and lightly stuffed and her hands and her spiky fingers are wrapped wire with needle felted palms. She measures about 10 inches from the top of her hat to her base.

This item is for decoration only and is not a toy. It should be kept well away from small children.

Stuffed cloth fat cat - country style

A fat, country cat. She is made in cotton Laura Ashley fabric of colton and polyester gingham. Her buttoned and embroidered face is sewn on securely and edged with pretty trellis stitch. She is nice and small, so she fits just right in your hand. Her fat bottom allows her to sit on your shelf. Althoug this cat is sold as a collectable, she does like to be cuddled and made a fuss of. She is quite robust. The polyester stuffing used meets British Standards for cleanliness and flammability.
This cat measures just 5 inches from the tip of her ears to her bottom and she is almost as wide.

Keep away from under threes because the buttons are a choking hazard.

This listing is for one green cotton or one cotton and polyester gingham country cat.

Stuffed Cloth Fat cat

A nice, fat, comfort cat. He is made in suede fabric that is nice and soft to the touch. His hand painted face is sewn on securely and edged with pretty trellis stitch. He is nice and small, so he fits just right in your hand. His fat bottom allows him to sit on your shelf and his tail is stitched on very carefully to make quite sure it will not come off. His face is painted with non-toxic heat fixed fabric paint and non-toxic, permanent archival ink. The polyester stuffing meets with British Standards for cleanliness and flammability.
This cat measures just 5 inches from the tip of his ears to his bottom and he is almost as wide.
Although he is sold as a collectable, he does like to be cuddled and made a fuss of. He is quite robust.

This listing is for one fat grey comfort cat. Fat cats come in grey, red and green.

Simple Stanley cloth doll

I designed these simple dolls for my smallest grandchildren. They are just the right size for tiny hands to grasp and have a smiley face and a range of different textures for small people to explore. I use polyester suede for the face and arms because it has a nice 'peachy' feel and Laura Ashley cottons for the body. The doll is stuffed with polyester stuffing that meets safety specifications for flammability and cleanliness. The arms are securely fastened both through the body and again through the head. The hair is a knitted wig, sewn on securely. The face is embroidered with simple stitches, rather than painted, because I just don't think fabric paint, however fixed, goes with all that dribble! You can wash these dolls in the washing machine on a cool or delicate wash with a slow spin, I don't recommend tumble drying.

Stuffed and embroidered Hangup Santa decoration

In time for the festive season. This little doll could be an heirloom decoration, coming out to be enjoyed by the family year after year.

The body is made from scraps of fleece fabric, needle felted onto a base of recycled fibres with the addition of dyed wool sliver (roving), machine quilted and heavily embellished with hand embroidery, beads and sequins. The face is hand painted with needle felted eyebrows and the moustache and beard are fine merino fleece needle felted in place. For the technically minded, stitches used on this piece are: interlaced chain band, interlaced herringbone, cretan, straight stitch and trellis stitch.

This decoration hangs from a machine wrapped cord and the body measures about nine inches.

This listing is for one Santa only.

This item is for decoration only and is not a toy. It should be kept well away from small children

Sitting Stanley - cloth doll pixie

The recipient of the first Simple Stanley grew a little older and a little bigger, so a made him a new doll - one that sits.

Although this doll is a collectable, he does like to be hugged and played with. He is quite robust.

Sitting Stanley is based on a very simple version of a teddy bear. This doll has separate legs, a painted, lightly needle sculpted face and the hair is knitted from fluffier yarn. Sitting, the doll measures around seven and a half inches, around eleven inches from head to toe. The legs and arms are moveable, fixed with plastic safety joints. The head is firmly stitched on, going round several times with strong upholstery thread. The face is painted with non-toxic heat set paints.
The doll is made from hardwearing polyaloba fabric with a lovely, soft feel. It's a kind of synthetic suede fabric and it's almost indestructible. The doll is stuffed with polyfil that meets British Standards for cleanliness and flamability. There are no loose parts but, as always, keep away from fire or naked flame.

I have, of course, had the opportunity to test the original in a machine wash on a cool, gentle setting! Tumble drying is not recommended.

This listing is for one doll in red. They also come in green, grey and brown. Please leave a message stating the colour you require.
