A majestic magpie sits amongst a hand stitched undergrowth with a crowned companion...2 for joy! This sweet little painting is bound to brighten up your day! Perfect for a bird lover. Or maybe even a superstitious someone who can't see a magpie without saluting :) I have hand painted the magpie in watercolor paint and then hand embroidered her in a variety of cottons, silks and metallic threads. All of my original pieces are signed by me on the reverse. The colours in the painting are inky black, a vibrant turquoisey blue and rich purple. The embroidery is a riot of colour from olive and deep greens, electric metallic blues, black and soft pinky reds The piece is painted and stitched on a gallery wrapped canvas and is ready to hang. The canvas also has staple free edges so no framing required. All I require is a few clear photo's of your furry/feathery or even scaley friend and a few favourite things; a poem, song, colours, films or even socks etc! These pieces can take up to 4 weeks to complete but I always keep my clients fully informed of progress and send "action" shots too! Your cushion will be painted and stitched onto unbleached calico. Backing is a heavyweight black and white gingham and is filled with hollowfibre padding.
