Knitting pattern for a little oddment hedgehog

Please note this is NOT a listing for a finished hedgehog

This quick and simple little pattern (supplied by email in PDF format) is great for using up oddments of leftover yarn and can be used as a pincushion or a toy. It is knitted straight on 2 needles and has one seam running underneath.

You will need Adobe reader to open the pattern file as it is supplied via email as a PDF attachment.

You'll need approx 12m (14yds) for the main colour, a small amount for the face and feet, a small amount of black yarn for the eyes and nose and some stuffing of your choice.

You can use any yarn oddments and just need to match your needle size accordingly, for example I'd use 3.75mm needles with Aran weight, 3.25 / 3mm for DK weight and 2.75 / 2.25 mm for 4 ply (use a thinner needle size than recommended on the ball band in order to give a good finish after firmly stuffing.

A portion of the profits from the sale of this pattern will be donated to the British Hedgehog Preservation Society.

This is an original, copyrighted design so please do not reproduce or distribute the pattern without first obtaining permission.

Items knitted from this pattern can be sold solely for charity fundraising purposes but please do not knit up for commercial purposes (ie, to sell for personal gain).

knitting pattern for a cupcake

please note this is not a listing for a finished item

This listing is for a detailed and clearly illustrated PDF knitting pattern for my originally designed hand-knit cakes (which have been featured in Period Living, Let's Knit, Quick and Crafty and several other publications)

This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitting skills though if you’re not keen on seaming you might find that this pattern is not for you. It is knitted flat in two pieces so there are a couple of seams and a bit of sewing up to construct it. I’ve described exactly how I pick up stitches and close seams and included detailed pictures which help to illustrate this clearly. This pattern has been tweaked many times over the last 5 years and 400 odd cakes that I’ve made from it but I think I‘m finally content with it! I hope you find it fun to do and are pleased with your finished cake.

Finished size: approx 6cm (2 inches) high

The pattern is supplied by email in PDF format so you will need adobe reader to open the file. It is an original, copyrighted design so please do not reproduce or distribute without first obtaining permission.

Items knitted from this pattern can be sold solely for charity fundraising purposes but please do not knit up for commercial purposes.

knitting pattern for a bunny egg cosy

Please note that this listing is not for a finished item and does not include an egg cup.

This is a little pattern for a knitted egg cosy. It is supplied by email in PDF format so you will need Adobe Reader to open the file.

I knit it in cotton simply so that it can be easily washed and use 4ply/sport weight/5ply. It's quite good for using up small amounts of yarn that you might not have another use for.

This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitting skills and is knitted flat on 2 needles and seamed.

Finished size: approx 12cm (5 inches) from base to ear tip and it will fit over a large egg (organic of course) or a chocolate one if you prefer.

It is an original, copyrighted design so please do not reproduce or distribute without first obtaining permission.
