<description>I make functional ceramics for everyday use around the home. Most of my pots are hand-thrown on a wheel using stoneware clay, but I also enjoy making small decorative ceramics like buttons and pendants. Some of my pieces are made using a traditional Japanese firing technique called raku which creates a beautiful crackle glaze.</description>

      <title>Cornflower with Berries - Original Acrylic Painting</title>
<description>&#8216;Cornflower with Berries&#8217; is an original acrylic painting depicting a stylised interior with a display of flowers in a white vase. This painting has a simple, calm atmosphere and is painted with fresh colours and shades.

For this painting I&#8217;ve used acrylics on a small &#8216;deep edge&#8217; canvas. The canvas measures 10 inches by 10 inches (about 25cm by 25cm) and is about one and a half inches deep (about 4cm). The painting is unframed and the edge is painted using a very light grey so it can be hung on a wall without a frame for a contemporary look. This painting is an original artwork and is signed by me (Jude Allman) in the bottom left hand corner.

(Please note that Jude Allman retains the copyright of the image of this painting even after purchase. Any questions please ask. Thank you!)

      <title>Small Mug - Speckled Fleck</title>
<description>These lovely mugs are perfect for people who like small cups of tea or coffee. They&#8217;ve been hand-thrown on a wheel using stoneware clay and reduction fired in a gas kiln which has brought out the natural speckled fleck in the clay. They are glazed in a clear glaze and decorated with a simple design using iron oxide brushwork on both sides.

These mugs measure about 7cm high and 6cm across. The glaze is dishwasher safe and each mug has my own unique pottery seal at the base of the handle. Please note that slight variations in glaze and decoration are a part of handmade items.

This is a listing for one small mug only.

<title>Raku Bowl (White and Turquoise Crackle)</title>
<description>This beautiful little raku bowl has been hand-thrown from stoneware clay and glazed using white and turquoise crackle glazes. Between these two glazes the pot has been left unglazed to reveal a smokey grey band created by the firing process.

This small bowl measures about 8cm x 4cm and bears my own pottery seal near the base. The crackle glazes used in raku pots means they are porous and decorative only: so they should not be used for containing food or liquids. It also means each pot is totally unique and perfect as a gift or beautiful keepsake for someone special.

      <title>Vase (Simple White - Small)</title>
<description>These small stem vases are so versatile. They&#8217;ve been hand-thrown on a wheel in stoneware clay and glazed all over in a plain white gloss glaze. They are both simple and classic which makes them perfect for small flower and stem displays on your table and around the house.

These vases measure about 9cm tall and 3.5cm across at the neck. I have two vases left in stock, both shown in the selection of images above. Please be aware that these vases are handmade and so each one differs very slightly in shape and in glazing, so if you have one in mind, please specify.

This is a listing for one small white vase only.

      <title>Bottle Vase</title>
<description>This small bottle vase is perfect for a simple flower display. It has been hand-thrown on a wheel using stoneware clay and then decorated using white slip under a clear gloss glaze with iron oxide brushwork. The pot was then reduction fired in a gas kiln which has brought out the natural brown speckle in the clay and created a lovely rich red/brown colour in the decoration. This is a very warm, tactile little pot with plenty of interest from all angles.

The vase measures about 9cm high with a 3cm opening at the neck.

      <title>Small Jug (Rustic Brown)</title>
<description>This simple, practical jug has so many uses around the kitchen. It&#8217;s been hand-thrown on a wheel in stoneware clay and glazed all over in a 'Rustic Brown' wood ash glaze with iron oxide brushwork. This is a lovely functional jug with a sturdy, but elegant handle. It features my own pottery seal at the base of the handle.

It measures about 8cm high and 7cm across and holds a quarter of a pint in volume. These jugs are food safe and dishwasher safe (but please do not use in microwaves). Please note this is a listing for one small jug only shown in picture.
