We (Kirsty & Adrienne!) met working at a West Midlands arts charity running participatory issue-based arts workshops with children, teenagers, adults and anyone who doesn't fit into one of those three categories! When the charity made their entire arts team redundant in one maniacal swoop, we decided to put our GIRL BOSS hats on, and continue the work for ourselves. We still do non-profit participatory arts work, however thanks to good budgeting and some ambitious plans, we managed to make time and space to also start making and creating for ourselves!
Frilly Industries is where we play around with materials, drawings, designs and ideas and think up new and exciting ways to make the things in our head come to life. We make everything in house and we're constantly expanding our ranges with things which represent our obsessions: craft, film, books, art, poetry, music, dogs, cats, language, COFFEE and more.
