These have to be my favourite beads so far. They are rich in colour, sporting some rather fab pink, purple, green, blues and golds. The beads are part of a limited design range called Aisha. I have only made 9 Aisha pillow beads in total. They are all individually handmade. The process for making the beads is time consuming, it involves creating a large patterned cane with the polymer, then reducing it. In this pattern, the cane was then cut into 4 and then placed back together to make a new cane. Once reduced the patterned cane is cut into slices, one of these slices is then adhered to each side of the polymer bead. Once it is ensured that all the air has been released it is shaped by hand. A needle tool is then used to create the hole. The beads are then cured in the oven. Each bead has been sanded 4 times, to ensure a nice smooth quality. These beads have also been painted with 4 coats of gloss. Each bead weighs approx 2-3 g. Each bead has a width of approx 18mm - 19mm at the widest points. Each bead has a 2mm hole. Beads don't come much bolder than this, there is a bit of a retro 60s feel going on. The beads are part of a limited design range called Lulu. The process for making the beads is quite long, it involves creating various components from polymer, to bring together in a large patterned cane. The cane is then massaged to reduce it in size. All the polymer art beads I use in my jewellery, are my own hand crafted items. The focal bead is complimented with the use of yellow and black Swarovski Elements. They hang from a small row of 8mm silver plated jump rings (approx), on a fine silver plated curb chain (24). The height of the actual pendant is 40 mm, the width, at the widest point is 18 mm. It manages to make a real statement without being big, or intrusive. It is perfect for someone with an eye for something a little bit different. I hand craft all the polymer clay beads I use in my jewellery. This bead is part of a range called Daisy, it comprises of blue and black organic patterns running through frost. The frost clay gives the illusion of depth and speckles, that you would expect to find in ice. This particular bead has been hand sanded, and lightly polished with a wax, so it has a soft sheen finish. The pendant hangs from a small row of 8 mm silver plated jump rings, on a 24 silver plated, fine curb chain, with bolt clasp. The total height of the pendant (base to the loop of the head pin) is 40 mm. The width at the widest point is 17 mm). The pendant will come packaged in a white jewellery box. I created the polymer bead by hand, using a Millefiori technique. It was then cured, sanded by hand, with increasing grades of sand paper, three times. Finally, it was given three coats of high shine gloss. The pendant alone is 35 mm high, and 17 mm at the widest point. It hangs from a small row of silver plated 8 mm jump rings, and a 24 silver plated, fine curb chain with a bolt clasp. All the polymer beads I create are my own design, and of a limited supply. A variety of beads are also available in my Folksy shop. None of my goods are suitable for children, due to their small parts, and enticing colours. However being so small, made those trees look awfully big, so he ran away, and went to work for Santa. Now Lars has itchy feet, and would like to find a new home. He is pretty handy around the house. I like to call these decorations 'Tridangles' , because of their triangular shape and because... well... they dangle :) Once created and cured in the oven, each tridangle is given a light sanding, and then painted with 3 coats of high shine gloss.
