These hair clips are made using these multi-coloured Indian glass canework beads I've had in my bead stash for a long time, whilst I have been deciding how best to show them off. I made 6 of these hair clips but have decided to keep one for myself and 2 have already sold! All of the clips are unique due to the nature of the beads. They all have a mix of colour in them but some are more mixed than others! The beads vary in size so the hair clips have a mosaic feel to them. These fossilised shells are similar in shape to modern ones but are more textured when you look at them closely. They are approximately 40 million years old! The large bail is made from sterling silver wire. The drop of the pendant, including bail, is approximately 4.5cm (1 3/4") and its width is 4cm (1 5/8"). These hair clips are made using a mixture of green, cream and gold coloured pearlised plastic beads. The beads have been given a coating of varnish to protect them.
