      <title>Cream Swirl felted crochet corsage</title>
<description>A layered, spiralling design that stands out from the usual flowers!

This lovely corsage or brooch is crocheted in pure wool, to my own design, and then felted for a more contemporary look. Great on a coat or knitwear.

It&#8217;s about 8-9cm (3-3.5&#8221;) in diameter, with a brooch pin stitched on the back.

      <title>&#8216;Dry Stone Wall&#8217; original textile art</title>
<description>Inspired by the wonderful Yorkshire grit wall in my garden. A highly textured piece made by free machining with applied fabrics and puff paint. UNFRAMED.

The embroidery is about 9.5 cm x 12 cm (3.75&#8221; x 4.75&#8221;). It is attached to a piece of white mount board measuring 18cm x 24 cm (about 7&#8221; x 9.5&#8221;), which fits a standard IKEA frame size. A black frame would show it off beautifully.

The limestone &#8220;clints and grykes&#8221; are portrayed in machine embroidery and applied packing foam on heat-sculpted felt; the surrounding text is freely machine embroidered.

UNFRAMED.

      <title>Cottage Garden bookmark </title>
<description>Delicate, lacy and reversible, this little piece of original textile art makes a perfect bookmark &#8211; an ideal gift for a nature lover or gardener, and very light for posting too!

The design is an impression of a country garden in summer, full of wild flowers and foliage. (If you've seen my flowery bowls - it's the same design idea and technique.)

It&#8217;s made by free machine embroidering on soluble fabric, with a base of green net so that the stitching doesn&#8217;t have to be too bulky.

The bookmark measures about 18cm x 4.5cm (7&#8221; x 1.75&#8221;). It is tacked (basted) onto a printed card and presented in a cellophane packet.

Please note: the bookmark you receive may not be identical to the one pictured &#8211; I repeat the same design and colours but the free nature of the technique means it&#8217;s impossible to make exact copies.

      <title>Hedgerow Bowl</title>
<description>A impression of a country hedgerow with wildflowers amongst green foliage, this little bowl nestles perfectly in the palm of your hand to view from all angles.

Although amazingly delicate in appearance, and very light weight, the bowl is not as fragile as it looks &#8211; it will survive a fall much better than glass or ceramics! It is intended to be decorative rather than functional, but a small trinket or pebble could be placed inside. As it&#8217;s round, without a flat base, it won&#8217;t always sit up straight &#8211; but that just gives you different views of both the outside and inside.

It&#8217;s made by free machine embroidering on soluble fabric, which dissolves away to leave just the stitching. This &#8216;soluble lace&#8217; is then moulded into shape while damp; the stitching is specially designed so that it will form a round bowl without tucks or pleats. When dry it&#8217;s sprayed with clear acrylic varnish for extra stiffness and protection.

I&#8217;ve made a few of these over the years, but no two bowls of the same theme are identical.

The bowl is approximately 10cm (4&#8221;) diameter, and 8cm (3.25&#8221;) high.

Packed in a box with a polystyrene ball inside it, to prevent damage in the post.
