The tiny pieces of glass 'frit' then melt together randomly to form a delicate lace-like pattern, which looks a bit like honeycomb. I then heat the glass again to slump it in a bowl mould. The whole process takes two days for the glass to be heated and gradually cooled twice. Your turquoise lace bowl will not look identical to the one pictured as the glass melts to create random patterns, but it will be just as beautiful. It will measure approximately 18cm in diameter. Although this bowl looks sculptural, it can still be used practically, and I use mine at home to hold cotton buds and cotton wool balls. I will use plenty of bubble wrap when posting this item to ensure that it arrives safely with you. I cut the art glass by hand, then layer it up with the copper wire and coloured glass sprinkles. I then put it all in my specialist glass kiln and fire it to almost 800 degrees. The fused glass love bird then stays in the kiln over-night to cool slowly. Every love bird is made to order, is totally individual and comes with it's own teeny, tiny bubbles. Your love bird will measure approximately 5 cm wide by 7 cm high, although the size does vary as they are hand-made. Your love bird can be hung on a wall, on a window, on a mirror or even outside in the garden! Finally, I have added a brooch back with extra strong glass glue, and allowed it to cure for 24 hours. Each brooch is one-of-a-kind and unique, so your fish brooch may not look identical to the one in the image, but will be just as beautiful. The brooch measures approximately 5cm wide by 1.5cm high. To create these earrings I have spread crushed glass on to the kiln shelf. In the heat of the kiln, the pieces move around at random to create unusual, lacy watery patterns within the glass. These earrings are made from cobalt blue glass at the top, merging into turquoise and finally aqua blue at the bottom. I have wire-wrapped the glass at the top and added a hand-made sterling silver ear wire. Although, these earrings are made from glass, they are as light as a feather and strong (as they have been heated to around 800 degrees). They measure about 6cm long and 0.5cm wide. These earrings are made to order, so your earrings may not look exactly like the ones shown in the photograph, but will look just as intriguing and unique.
