drawnwork linen cushion cover

Cushion cover made from vintage mangle cloth linen. embroidered using drawnwork technique, which involves carefully drawing out threads of linen base cloth and then drawing threads together using embroidery cotton on top. Held together using three vintage cotton covered buttons with hand stitched loops.

I have left reverse side of cushion in its original state, a bit of 'before and after' which I think gives this cover a little bit more interest than your average.

Embroidery work done in a mixture of yellow, white, natural, cerise and grey tones.

Cushion measures 29cm x 38cm

100% Linen which can be hand washed, pulled into shape and dried flat.

CUSHION COVER ONLY, PAD NOT INCLUDED

Round crochet dishcloth

Hand crocheted (by myself) dishcloth, crocheted in unbleached 100% cotton. Each cloth measures 21cm in diameter.

These cloths are extremely hard wearing, can be washed, boiled, bleached and cared for in the right way should last for a long long time. This making them a cheaper in the long run, more environmentally friendly (and better looking!) alternative to the usual mass produced ones.

These cloths came at the request of my friend and as she is a good friend she generally gets what she asks for, so I hope you enjoy them as much as she does.
