I've created them from a mixture of turquoise/green ,black and white beads.The round feature bead is turquoise/green with gold protruding round patterns and it is 1.5cm in circumference. Ideal for any occasion. These would make a fantastic present for a loved one or to wear for yourself. They measure approx 5.5cm in length .At the bottom of the feature turquoise beads there looks like there is a black stain on them but it is definitely a colouring within the bead itself. It's oil on canvas 9 x 12 inches. I was inspired by the beautiful sunny weather that britain thrusts upon us. Well maybe more inspired by the kind of lazy summer days we crave for, going to the beach, lounging around. I felt people were not needed to be present, objects themselves were enough to be the voice for the painting. The mushroom was a twist in the painting, a fungus acting as a shade for whoever may want to retreat from the sun. As funguses grow sporadically why not at a beach? and why not become an item that is not only used for consumption but can also have a practical purpose for daily use. Imagination and a dreamy state of mind is what was needed for this creation, not eveything needs to be what we expect it to be and do what we expect it to do. I've recycled the fabric (green gingham) from what once used to be a pillow case. The fabric heart has been stuffed with some cotton and the design is daisy based. I've sewn little cute daisies all around the heart and created a larger daisy with felt and a yellow button for the centre design. The part to hang it up with is a pale yellw and white gingham ribbon. The heart measures approx 11cm in length, with the ribbon it comes to approx 19cm in length. I have made it from a number of fabrics including felt. It is an original design. In the centre of the flower I have sewn 8 rainbow coloured buttons around a large gold vintage button. The inner petals around the buttons are made of red felt , the second layer of petals are made of navy blue fabric and on to each petal is sewn a yellow, green and red little flower design. The very outer petals are made of a light blue felt . It looks beautiful. The flower measures approx 12.5 cm by 12.5 cm. It has a safety pin sewn on the back to enable you to attach to whereever you please. The stitching is visible on the reverse. It also consists of a row of colourful plastic flower beads which are purple,pearl, pink and white in colour, there is also a large pink crystal bead at the bottom of the charm.
