Non toxic paints were used & the exterior is varnished with a waterbased varnish to protect it from the elements. We have several of these little nest boxes around our garden and there have been many little bird families successfully raised in them. See the photos of some of the fledgelings above. He was pictured wearing his on the Two Virgins Album Cover. The Talisman is Hand Crafted in quality Leather, with Daisy flowers painted & varnished to match John's Original Necklace . I have distressed the eyelets by sanding them slightly. There are blue glass beads either side of the talisman. I have used decorative buttons with a design similar to the ones on Johns Original Talisman. The necklace closes with a decorative snap fastener. The approximate length is 20 inches.
